Elly Degeest has been obsessed
with dancing since she was a child.
Every free hour she spent
in the danceclass.
Age 15, she knew to
convince her parents to let her go to the artschool og Gent.
She feels at home!
Dancing, dancing , dancing,…
18 years old and she is
still passionated.
She starts her first year
of higher education in Lier.
She gets very interested
at the different possibolities within modern and contemporary dance.
One year exploring the
international dancescene at the School of dance, Rotterdam,
Before she decides to finish the education in Lier.
She even stays another
year to get her degree as a teacher.
Ever since, she has been
teaching, makes performances and explores the borders of her physicality:
African dance, capoeira, kung fu, yoga,…
She even starts in-depth
studies of these disciplines when she starts travelling the world.
She does this with her
husband, Sigurd.
Armed with an extensive knowledge
of the body and different kinds of disciplines, together with an eternal
optimism
She is the head of the
Ellgurd school.

Sigurd Vanderschueren is 3 years old when spending a lot of time at the local theatre both his
parents founded.
Theatre, judo, breakdance
are the highlights of the week.
Pretty bored by the
scientific education he follows, he start creating his own poetry and music.
All besides the schoolhours,
even untill late at night.
So interesseted in
expressing himself, he starts the higher education for moviemaking.
After graduating, he is
attracted to get in front of the camera also.
More then 2 years he has
been trainend as a corporal actor in Antwerp and Barcelona.
As a mover he picks up
and extends his earlier capacities in Breakdance, Karate, kung fu,…
He gives clases and
workshops in theatre, makes and plays inmovies.
2005 he starts to travel
the world with his wife-to-Be, Elly.
Very confident and with a
clear vision he takes care of puplicity within the school.

Renaat Scheelen studied from 1989 untill 1995
at l'ecole de Mime Corporel Dramatique,
Paris.
Dir: Steve Wasson and
Corinne Soum, the last assistents of Etienne Decroux.
Very soon he can join the
company of the school : l'Ange Fou and starts touring with them in severa,
different places around the worl.
2002 He starts his own
school for physical theatre and creates and performs with Maquette X XX.

Mike Martello grew up in New York, where street fighting was a regular occurrence.
He began his early
training with classical boxing from his father, then at the age of 11 was
introduced to kung fu by Teacher Teddy Wong.
He later became a
disciple under the tutelage of Master Su Yu-Chang.
He learnt all styles of Tanglang (Praying Mantis), Baji
Chuan, Bagua Zhang, Pigua Zhang, Hsing-I Chuan , Tai Chi Chuan and Weapons.
Mike was appointed by
Mrs. Liu
Yun-Chiao and the Taiwanese Wu Tan Organization as a Wu Tan
Director.
He was recently
awarded the Taiwanese Kuo Shu medal of achievement for his work in Chinese
martial arts.
And he became the Chief Instructor & Technical Advisor of Beijing
People's Martial Arts Association.
He has been studying and teaching martial arts for over twenty five years.
Today still, Mike
continues to travel and study Chinese Martial Arts in Taiwan with Grandmaster Wang Chieh.
Here he is
specializing in :
Yue Jia San Shou (Yue
Family Style), Ba Bu Tanglang (Praying Mantis), Bai He Chuan (White Crane),
Joint Locking
(Chin-Na), Tai Chi, Push Hands (Tuei Shou) and Shuai Jiao (Chinese Wrestling).
